In this post I want to show you the recent developments regarding the Bitcoin price from a technical perspective. We have seen this downtrend for about 3 days now and I have located a new trading channel and it is visible in this hourly chart:

Comment: We can see that Bitcoin has made lower highs and lower lows and I expect Bitcoin to go back up and make another lower high near the 4550 area.

That could be a good shorting opportunity (BTC/USD over at Bitfinex for instance). If Bitcoin does create a top looking formation around this area, that is when you should open your trade.

I also have 2 other scenarios:

1. Bitcoin will surpass 4550 and go all the way up to 4700 USD, that would be bullish to me

2. Bitcoin will go up to 4550 and then go down and touch 4300 and make a double bottom, that would also be bullish.

Finally, in this 4 hour chart you can clearly see that the moving average is turning south:

So, hopefully you transfered your trades to Tether (USDT) about 2 days ago if you followed my advice from this blog post:

If so, you should be able to wait out this bottom and come in with new money once this ship has turned around.
